Old Geelong Gaol
Up until 1991, some of Victoria’s most notorious
criminals had the pleasure of doing a bit of “porridge”
(time) in the Old Geelong Gaol. Built between 1849 and
1864, the gaol was first occupied in 1853. Its Gallows
hanged their first killer in 1863.
