Surfing is one of the area's biggest attractionsIf your in the area for the International Oceania Motocross Championships, why not make the most of your time by visiting some of Bellarine Peninsular's attractions.

Hit the surf at one of the famous beaches along the surf coast, take in a round of golf, satisfy your Ford fetishes at the Ford Discovery Centre or enjoy a good drop at one of the popular wineries in the area.

Waterfront Precinct

  • The Baywalk Bollards
    A unique public art program commissioned by the City of Greater Geelong. Over 100 bollards, created by artist Jan Mitchell, line the Waterfront in Geelong each depicting a character or event of Geelong’s history. Pick up a self-guided Bollard walking tour map from the Information Booth on the waterfront.

Geelong precinct

  • Old Geelong Gaol
    Up until 1991, some of Victoria’s most notorious criminals had the pleasure of doing a bit of “porridge” (time) in the Old Geelong Gaol. Built between 1849 and 1864, the gaol was first occupied in 1853. Its Gallows hanged their first killer in 1863.

  • The National Wool Museum

  • Ford Discovery Centre
    Located across the road from Deakin University Waterfront Campus. The Centre provides a behind the scene experience on how cars are designed, engineered and built.
