2007 IOMXC bigger and better thanks to survey

While the Barrabool International Oceania MXC crew are hard at work finalizing riders and event details, here are some of the comments you fans made after the fabulous 2005 Oceania in our post race survey (with our answers).

“Absolutely awesome event! Pity Chad wasn’t there.”
We are giving it our best shot. We can only ask.

“Best event and track ever! Prices too high for families.”
Prices will be lower across the board for ’07. Especially for families and kids.

“Blown away by the track! Bit of dust which was disappointing as a spectator."
Yeah we know. Won’t happen again! Track was a bit easy last time. More water, more ruts! Fact: We had 4 water pumps breakdown on the one day! Mayhem for the track guys!

“Josh and Brett were awesome, but more internationals would be good?”
Funny you should mention that... notice the name change for ’07?? Stay posted for further exciting details!

“Would be great if it had a real international flavour, just like the 80’s. More Americans too?”
See above...

“This is the best organised, promoted and enjoyable event I have ever been to.”
As the “Fonz” would say; Heeyyyy! Thanks!

“I thought the riders selected for the Australian team should have been pitted together.”
That would be good, but very difficult to achieve. They all need the support of their respective teams.

“Needed more signage to the track.”
There would have been plenty if people didn’t pinch them! The club paid for, and put up 60 sign written direction signs 3 days prior. You guys didn’t even see the unreal huge Brett Metcalfe entrance sign at the track that some knuckle dragger pinched- TWICE!! Very uncool to pinch a clubs advertising signs which are the key to getting locals to the event. Lo-lifes!

“Loved the free open pits!”
And again in 2007.

“My two daughters are very fussy when it comes to toilets, yours were the best!”
They should do, those portables cost $15,000!! Sporting MCC always make a big effort in toilets. (“Hmmm. Not quite right that, eh number 99?” – Maxwell Smart).

“The food was great! Plenty of it.”
We take pride in providing good quality food. We always make a big effort in our food . . . (“99, I asked you not to tell me that!”)

“V.I.P. corporate facilities too pricey for most.”
We hear you. 2007 will still be excellent but at down to earth prices. Private facilities can be provided too. Coming soon.

“Sound system looked awesome, but I couldn’t hear if wind was blowing wrong way.”
We are dropping the “rock concert” sound system, and bringing in a full coverage speaker system with big speakers – no “squawking parrots!” Sound system will be on FM radio too, so bring your headsets and listen in all the time, even when you have to make the effort to go to the toilets . . .

“I missed the presentation (which apparently was excellent) because I was watching the Trials guys ride up that wall!”
Won’t happen again this time, we are leaving space in the schedual for it this time around. The Mototrials riders riding up that vertical 3 metre wall from a standing start is not to be missed!

“If it is like 2005 you guy's won't have to do a thing.”
“Oceania was awesome!”
“I’ll be there next year”
“You guys did a great job. Keep it up”

Just about all survey comments were full of praise, bar for the few problems we have addressed above.

Thanks to you for your comments guys, 2007 is definitely going to be bigger, and better!
